Biography
She holds a Masters’ degree in Business Administration from ESADE, and postgraduate diplomas in Development Studies from the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales (EHESS Paris) and in Policy Studies from the School of African and Oriental Studies at the University of London (SOAS).
She has served as Oxfam Regional Director for South America and the Caribbean as well as for West Africa, and previously as Senior Policy Advisor at the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Veronique has consulted for Oxfam GB and was Senior Advisor at the Club de Madrid. She has field experience in Latin America, West and Central Africa and Mediterranean countries, has conducted different planning and programs revision processes, and represented the government of Spain in multilateral Official Development Aid working groups. Veronique Andrieux last position was Executive Director of “Action contre la Faim” since 2016, an international non-governmental organization specialized in the fight against hunger.
She has authored publications on international development, including «Better Aid : A necessary condition for development », « Contributions for a European Development Policy under the Spanish EU Presidency» and «Policy Coherence: an urgent agenda for Development".
Véronique Andrieux is CEO of WWF France since August 2019. The World Wide Fund for Nature is the main international environmental organization and places focus on biodiversity. The main goals are to slow climate change, reduce toxics in the environment, protect our oceans and fresh waters, stop deforestation, and save species.
