Before taking up her duties Director of the Francophonie Institute for Sustainable development, subsidiary body of the International organization of the Francophonie, Cécile Martin-Phipps worked as Director strategy, communication and partnerships at the International Solar Alliance for almost five years. She previously worked at a street lighting company as Project manager International funding institutions. From 2007 to 2016 she was Project manager International projects and partnerships at the French Agency for Environment and Energy Management (ADEME). Previously she was deputy advisor (parliamentary issues, international affairs) to Mr. Serge Lepeltier and Mrs. Nelly Ollin, Ministers in charge of ecology and sustainable development, Government of France. Cécile Martin-Phipps, a French national, holds a master’s degree in Public Administration and International Studies from the Paris Institute of Political Studies, a certificate in financing & deploying clean energy from Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies & Yale School of Management, and an executive education on Public-Private Partnerships for Infrastructures with Harvard Kennedy School. She is married and has three children.
