Biography
Anne-Claire Roux is Executive Director of Mirova Forward, the endowment fund of Mirova, a committed player and reference in sustainable finance in France and Europe. Mirova is an affiliated management company of Natixis Investement Managers and is also a BCorp-labeled company. The Mirova Forward endowment fund was created in December 2020 to act beyond the economic and financial sphere by financing, through philanthropy, general interest projects with a social and environmental impact. Anne-Claire is also the Chief of Staff to Mirova's CEO.
Anne-Claire benefits from over 10 years of experience in sustainable finance. In 2017, she contributed to the creation of Finance for Tomorrow, which she led until 2021 within Paris EUROPLACE, to make green and sustainable finance the driving force behind the development of the Paris Financial Center and to position it as a reference financial center on these issues. She also contributed to the launch of the FC4S-Financial Centers for Sustainability network.
Prior to that, she developed, for 6 years, the sustainable finance division of Paris EUROPLACE, the organization promoting the Paris financial center. Within this framework, Anne-Claire notably led the mobilization of the French financial sector for the COP21 in 2015 with, in particular, the organization of the first Climate Finance Day at UNESCO, as well as the six following editions of this international event and of the "Paris for Tomorrow Week".
Previously, Anne-Claire started her career in 2010 at the Ministry of Defense, at the Delegation for Strategic Affairs on security issues related to environmental challenges in Russia.
Anne-Claire is a graduate of EHESS (Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales) and has studied, as part of her research, the political and environmental impacts of the preparation of the Sochi-2014 Winter Olympics. She also holds a Master's degree in Political Science and a degree in History from the University of Paris-Sorbonne and studied Russian at INALCO.
Anne-Claire was a 2019 laureate of the "Women4climate" program in Paris. Launched in 2018 by the C40 network under the presidency of Anne Hidalgo, this mentorship program aims to create a network of young women committed to Climate around the world and highlight their actions.
